Everyday practice of one’s art skills is called “Riyaz” in Hindi. A painter must also practice regularly to keep his skill alive.

Painting everyday things which have simple shapes with simple lighting and shadows is essential practice. Today as part of my practice, I decided to paint digitally in the excellent open-source program “Krita”. For reference I used a picture of a peach I found on Pinterest (originally posted on Flicker at Peach by Elena K.)

P.S. - I used the bristle brush in the default brush pack in Krita.
