In a comic sketch facial expressions are one of the toughest things to get right. But the expression is key to story telling. Today I was sketching a few facial expressions from references as part of regular practice. I ended up with a nice little caricature of one of Jim Carrey’s exaggerated expressions. My son and I were walking to the school bus pick-up point a few days ago. And my son noticed a funny shaped thing on the path. It looked really strange and he asked me what it was.
